OBITUARY
Thomas Neal Tillman was born July 8, 1933 in Haleyville, Alabama and died on August 13, 2023 in Fresno, California. Coming from a tough impoverished childhood, he became a private airplane pilot, Korean War combat veteran, algebra teacher, insurance agent, and a cotton gin superintendent. He was a man who remained calm under pressure, was generous and willing to help or lend a hand to others. He saw and experienced a lot and had worn many hats throughout a long and storied life. An alumnus of the University of Alabama where he played football, he went on to live and work in Georgia, in Nevada, then finally settling in California where he would live the majority of his life until his passing. Thomas was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Whether causal acquaintance, colleague, friend, or family he will be missed and fondly remembered by many. Godspeed Thomas, after 90 years, 1 month, and 5 days your incredible journey here has come to a close. 'Till we meet again. Rest in Peace.
