MICHAEL  IS  AT  REST

Michael is at rest,

Sweet rest so calm and peaceful.

He is at rest, his earthly labors done,

He who has walked upon

Life’s rugged pathways

With love his never ending quest.

Michael’s loving hands

Have lifted many burdens,

And many tears have been replaced

By his kind words.

I thank Thee for my Lord’s atonement

And for the hope of seeing Michael again.

“And by their fruits,” our Lord said

“Shall we know them”;

The final harvest gleaned,

When tasks are done;

For fruitful reaping comes

From ardent sowing

Behold Dear Father,

Thy noble worthy son.

Dear Father, please grant me strength

To meet each trying test,

So when Thine Angel summons my return,

I’ll be with Michael,

And together share the blessing of

Thy peace and rest.
