IN LOVING MEMORY OF
John Walter Hagen
September 10, 1930 — July 14, 2023
OBITUARY
John was born September 10, 1930 in Reeder, North Dakota to Henry C. Hagen and Olive E. Hagen. John was the 3rd son of 4 boys. His father was a farmer and his mother was a school teacher until she got married to have 4 strong handsome boys; they did school work and worked on the family farm.
After he had completed 2 years of college, he joined the army as a First Lieutenant. While on a blind date he met his wife of 69 years. They had three children – his first was a girl and the last two (boys) were his fishing buddies.
He worked while going to school to support his family while working on his PhD. By the time the oldest child was 10 years old he became a Doctor of Business Economics; that is when he went to work for Fresno State. Later he transferred to the Ag Department where for 50 years he taught as an Ag Economics Professor. His love was for his students and his classes. He still felt he was farming by teaching the new farmers of America to keep ag growing.

“SEE YOU AROUND THE CAMPUS!!”
Life is eternal; and

Save the limit of our sight.

with His healing hand
and give you the peace and comfort
you need to get through.”
