Words are very hard to come by. Doug, you always treated me like I was part of your family. I remember many funny and caring conversations while we were standing outside of the CMS library. My condolences to all of your kids, especially Jeremy and Matt who I got to know through teaching.

My son and I got to know Mr. Ward when he was a student at Computech 2007-2009. He was a kind and generous man who went out of his way to enrich my son's educational experience in both 7th and 8th grades. To the family, please accept our sincere condolences for your losses.

It is difficult to put into words the passing of such dear friends of ours. We have so many memories down through the years of our children and their’s. We count ourselves grateful to know Karen and Doug and their children and extend our love and deepest condolences to the children. We’re grateful that we were privileged to know Karen and Doug. Ever trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent. A scout through and through! I still remember Karen growing cosmos flowers right out of the seed packet just throwing them into the dirt and them thriving she had such a green thumb. We will never look at a sunflower without thinking of her. When we want to laugh our hardest we purposefully and lovingly mimic the cheerful lyrical laugh of Doug Ward!
