Our Father

Who art in heaven,

Hallowed be Thy name;

Thy kingdom come;

Thy will be done

On earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread;

And forgive us our trespasses

As we forgive those

Who trespass against us;

And lead us not into temptation,

But deliver us from evil.

“May God touch you

with His healing hand

and give you the peace and comfort

you need to get through.”

Michael "Mike" William Ripley, of Clovis California, born on March 2, 1960, passed away at age 58 on February 28, 2019 in Fresno, California. Mike was the beloved husband of Janet Helm Ripley. He is survived by his wife Janet and mother, Mary Trout; daughters, Stephanie Danielsen (husband Chris), Michelle Ripley, and Amanda Ripley; stepsons, Tony Tarasevic and Michael Tarasevic (wife Lydia); sister, Pam Ripley (husband Eric); grandchildren, Justin Rhoades, Samantha Danielsen, Kahli Ripley, Kaiden Lassotovitch, Kayson Lassotovitch, Greyson Hocking, Rusty Tarasevic, Staci Tarasevic, Tyler Tarasevic, Aubrey Tarasevic, and Morgan Tarasevic; niece, Gabriella Ripley-Phipps; and nephews, Sterling Ripley-Phipps, and Forrest Ripley-Phipps. Mike grew up on a ranch in Caruthers. He learned about ranching and running equipment to help with the family'sranching operations, which led to his love of operating heavy equipment. When he was 17 he had his own hay-hauling business and later worked as a water well driller. He spent nearly 20 years as a Heavy Equipment Operator and member of Operating Engineers Local 3. Mike and Janet were married in 2004, joining their large families as one. Mike loved riding his Harley, working in the yard and most of all, his many grandchildren. He was a friend to all, always looking for ways to help his neighbors with tasks, large and small. If he saw a tree that needed trimming he would offer to "Do it right." Wherever Mike would go he knew people and would always take the time to chat. When on a cruise in the Caribbean with Janet he even ran into a heavy equipment operator he knew. Fixing things was something Mike truly enjoyed. He once found an old tricycle at a yard sale and spent months fixing it up for his granddaughter, including having it powder-coated pink. He could hardly wait to give it to her for her first birthday even though her tiny feet barely reached the pedals. Mike will be remembered for his love of family, the many friends he loved to connect with wherever he was, the fun he had riding his Harley, fixing things for his grandchildren to enjoy and sharing his special Tic Tac mints with whoever he was with. His warm smile and laughter will be forever missed. Friends and family are invited to remember Mike at a memorial service on Friday, March 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Northeast Assembly of God Church, 4386 N Chestnut Avenue, Fresno, California, 93726. A reception will follow the service at the same location.  In lieu of flowers, please donate blood or plasma at your local Blood Bank.
