I knew Mrs. Wendt at Dailey. I wasn’t her student but I remember a Christmas program when the band I was in finished and I waited outside for the rest of the program to finish so I could find my family. Mrs. Wendt invited me to stay in her classroom till it was done. I never forgot that. I later met her at other occasions. She was a sweet lady who I wish I could have known better.
