OBITUARY
Daryl passed peacefully into the arms of our precious Father on April 3, 2019 at 11:40 p.m.
I am sad that Daryl is gone. I miss him. I missed him during those final few days when he could not respond verbally. I miss his vitality, gratitude, love, generosity, gentleness, quick wit, passion for life, love of music, the way he could think critically through a situation. Above all he had an unwavering moral compass. I told him many times he was the most moral man I had ever known.
He taught me to love history, and sparked an interest in Ancestry.
Together we loved/love our Lord.
God gave us these past few years to treasure each other. For that I will be forever grateful.
Daryl's Funeral Service will be on April 15 at 10:00 a.m. at Fresno Sunnyside Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 5375 N. Maroa Ave., Fresno, California 93704.
Following at about 1:00 PM, Military Honors and burial are scheduled at Smith Mountain Cemetery, 42088 Road 100, Dinuba, California 93618.
A Memorial service will be held at Maricopa Community Church, 44977 W. Hathaway Ave., Maricopa, Arizona 85139 on May 7, 2019 at 10 a.m.
One of the 3 things on Daryl's "Bucket List" which you might help me with: Daryl wanted his grandson Hudson, who turned 3 in September, to remember him.
I will compile remembrances into a book of some kind. There will be opportunity to share those at both services by writing them on cards which will be provided. You may alternately send them to me via e-mail. This request is a bit selfish on my part, as I so enjoy reading them! We were able to share many comments with Daryl which were sent or posted prior to his death. The memories brought and continue to bring us such joy!
I thank My God for YOU.
May God Bless you as He has blessed me.
I KNOW that I will see Daryl again one day ... when we all get to Heaven.
Linda
“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes;
and there shall be no more death,
neither sorrow, nor crying,
neither shall there be any more pain:
for the former things are passed away.”
Revelation 21:4
Those we hold
most dear
never truly leave us;
they live on
in the kindnesses
they showed
and the love
they brought into our lives.

Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what's to be,
A resting place along the road
To sweet eternity.
We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way,
We all are meant to learn some things
But never meant to stay...
Our destination is a place
Far greater than we know.
For some, the journey's quicker,
For some, the journey's slow.
And when the journey finally ends,
We'll claim a great reward
And find an everlasting peace,
Together with the Lord.
Love Eternally,
Linda
“May God touch you
with His healing hand
and give you the peace and comfort
you need to get through.”
