TWENTY-THIRD PSALM
The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley
Of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil:
For thou art with me;
Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me
In the presence of mine enemies:
Thou anointest my head with oil;
My cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy
Shall follow me all the days of my life:
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
For ever.
OBITUARY
Anne (85) our beloved Mother and Grandmother was welcomed into the arms of JESUS on January 10th 2019. She was born on September 10th 1933 in San Luis Obispo, California to William Alexander (Sandy) Crocket and Emma (Walsh) Crocket. Anne was raised on the family farm in Corcoran, then moved to Fresno where she lived off of Huntington Boulevard. Upon her Motherʼs death she moved to Berkeley, California where she resided with her dear Friend, Carol (Proudfoot) Jory & her Family. Anne attended The Hamlin School in San Francisco, and the prestigious Mills College in Oakland where she excelled academically and athletically and made many lifelong friends. She then met John Brooke Mohun Jr. of Beverly Hills, California. They were joined in marriage at St. Johnʼs Cathedral in Fresno, California in September of 1953. Anne & Brooke honeymooned at the historic Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego and then made their home in Fresno. Anne and Brooke welcomed their first child, daughter Sandra Marie (Sandy) in 1954, followed by son John Brooke Mohun III (Brookie) in 1956, and son Reginald Crocket (Reggie) in 1958. Anne cherished her time as a wife and mother while raising her young family. She was a strong woman of Faith, it formed the foundation for her life, a devout Catholic who delighted in attending daily Mass. Anne had many hobbies and interests; she loved to read, sing, and play the piano. She reveled in the daily challenges of crossword and jigsaw puzzles, word searches and jumbles, and a good game of solitaire. Of the many places she lived; San Francisco, Los Angeles, Fresno, Carmel, Danville, Sacramento, Incline at Tahoe, she most appreciated her years living on the scenic Heaven Hill Way in Carson City, Nevada. She attended St. Teresa Church and treasured her role as a Librarian at the Ormsby Public Library where she directed the Childrenʼs Programs. Her family returned to Fresno in 1977 and Anne pursued a degree in Accounting and upon graduation was hired as the Bookkeeper for General Crane where she was employed for 17 years. After the dissolution of her first marriage, she met and married Benhart (Ben) Busch a Navy Veteran of the Korean War. They remained together until his death on February 13, 2005. Anne then worked as a Faith Community Volunteer at St. Agnes Hospital where she served along with our beloved “Sister Emily” as a Eucharistic Minister. Anne was predeceased by her parents, her husband Ben, her daughter Sandra, and brotherʼs Donald Crocket, Thacher and Roger Threlkeld. She is survived by her son Brooke & his wife Linell and granddaughter Natalie, her son Reggie & his wife Lori and grandson McKay, Grandchildren; Annie Huffman, Daniel & Rachel Huffman and their sons; Rhys, Max & Jack, and Michael Huffman. Brotherʼs; Jim Crocket & his wife Lloyd, Alex Crocket & his wife Judy, Jack Threlkeld & his wife Jane. In addition many cherished nieces and nephews. Our Heartfelt appreciation to the Staff at Orchard Park, to Dena at Optimal Hospice, and Judy Keating her precious Eucharistic Minister for providing exceptional & loving care.
